Formal Education and Certifications
Ananda is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Vermont (2018) and New Hampshire (2021) and received her Masters of Social Work in 2015 from Smith College School for Social Work in Northampton, MA. She can accept insurance and is credentialed with VT Medicaid, Medicare, BCBS, Cigna/Evernorth, Harvard Pilgrim/Optum/United, and MVP.
Ananda became a certified clinical hypnotherapist in 2024 through the HypnoRegression Institute. She received EMDR Training through EMDR International Association (EMDRIA) in 2015 and has been integrating that into practice settings including her work in residential treatment, in-patient mental health, and 1:1 private practice sessions.

Ananda received her 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Certification through Buti Yoga in Long Island, NY. She has taught yoga in group and private sessions and leads vinyasa, hatha, yin, and meditation practices.

Background Experience
Ananda has been in private practice in Wilder, VT since 2021 where she sees both adult and adolescent clients individually. Following her Master's in Social Work education she worked at Becket Family of Services residential treatment program in Pike, NH supporting adolescent males and their families healing from significant trauma. She also worked with children, adolescents, and adults providing in-patient treatment and aftercare planning at the Brattleboro Retreat in Brattleboro, VT. Prior to starting her private practice she worked as the Program Director and Clinician supporting youth in mental health crisis at the NFI Hospital Diversion Program in Brattleboro, VT.

Ananda interned at the Clara Martin Center serving adults and adolescents in community mental health. She was inspired to get her Mater's degree after working with youth as the Facilitator of Youth Services and Program Director at the Junction Teen LifeSkills Center, a drop-in center for youth in the Upper Valley of VT and NH. Her foundation of community service and civic engagement was established during her involvement with AmeriCorps between 2004 and 2010 where she worked in Colorado, Wyoming, Texas, Florida, Wisconsin, and Vermont engaged in youth services, education, environmental stewardship, and disaster relief.

Ananda received her undergraduate degree from Goddard College in Plainfield, VT with a BA in Social Entrepreneurship and Adolescent Development. Before focusing on psychology and social work, Ananda was pursuing a degree in Art Education and Studio Art through the University of NC Greensboro. Visual and studio art continues to be a passion and influence in Ananda's professional and personal endeavors.
